Analytical Resources, Inc. (ARI), a Washington corporation, was
founded in March, 1985 by four principals combining sixty years
experience in environmental chemistry. The firm has grown to a total
staff of 45 people, including 40 scientists with bachelors degrees or
higher. We currently provide analytical services for regional,
national, and international clients. ARI holds long-term contracts to
provide analyses for the EPA Contract Laboratory Program (CLP), the
Army Corps of Engineers, the Navy, the Boeing Company, and many other
private and public organizations. Laboratory operations are organized
into two main divisions: Organics and Inorganics. Our Quality
Assurance, Client Services, and Computer Services divisions provide
administrative support for ARI's comprehensive team effort.
ARI's corporate vision is focused in three main areas: technological
innovation, data quality, and client service. From the beginning, ARI
has been committed to the acquisition, manufacture, and utilization of
state-of-the art technologies to meet the demands of our diverse client
base. In-house analytical protocols conform to accepted standard
methods published by the EPA and other national organizations. All
in-house protocols are detailed in a compendium of Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) maintained by our QA section. While most analyses are
performed using standard analytical protocols (i.e. EPA Methods 8081,
8260 and 8270), ARI has developed several unique analytical techniques
to achieve special analytical requirements. The EPA has adopted some of
these techniques for nationwide use.
ARI's management is committed to providing accurate, precise, and
legally defensible data. All analyses follow published QA/QC protocol
as defined by ARI's Quality Assurance Plan. Our QA program features
stringent adherence to statistically derived and performance based
guidelines. All data must undergo rigorous internal QA/QC reviews
before final data packages are released to the client. Routine audits
and performance evaluation programs are used to constantly update and
improve our QA practices. In addition, we maintain key national and
state accreditations.
ARI has developed an unparalled level of client service through
effective project management and database management. Our project
managers (PMs) combine years of experience in data review, regulatory
compliance, and project development. In addition to providing quality
data in hard copy and electronic formats, ARI's PMs offer important
follow-up consultation services to assure that our product meets the
end needs of our clients.
To further enhance our client focus, ARI purchased and implemented a
comprehensive Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in 1993
using database software available from Northwest Analytical of
Portland, Oregon. Through years of development, LIMS has been optimized
for use in sample tracking, data generation and maintenance, and
production of electronic deliverables in numerous formats.
